Gallant Rescuers In Training
The adventure doesn't have to end when you finish the book!
Become an Animal Ally by joining Gallant Rescuers In Training (GRIT) and completing missions inspired by the animals and adventures in the Animal Allies series.
Each mission is designed to help you learn more about wildlife and the environments they call home while giving you opportunities to discover a little more about yourself, too. Because being an Animal Ally isn't just about loving animals ... it's about taking action to help protect them and their habitats!
Complete your missions, show off your Animal Ally spirit, and celebrate your accomplishments! Every completed mission comes with a certificate. Optional animal themed rewards will be available for purchase if you'd like a special keepsake of your achievement.
How Do Missions Work?
Each GRIT mission has three parts:
Ally Action 1: ๐ Journal
Reflect on the GRIT trait and your own experiences.
Ally Action 2: ๐ Choose Your Projects
Pick two projects from the options provided.
Ally Action 3: ๐ฃ๏ธ Create Your Animal Ally Showcase
Show what you learned and share your conservation message.

Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle Mission
Click here to get started!Sea turtles are masters of resilience. From the moment they hatch, they must brave shifting sands, hungry predators, and powerful ocean currents just to survive. Island Glass Lizard Mission
Legless lizards are practically a poster child (or should we say poster animal) for accepting differences. They don't have legs, but they aren't snakes! Just like these unique reptiles, people can be misunderstood because they look or act differently. This mission invites you to learn about unique traits and celebrate what makes everyone special.Photo: Abyssal, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 4.0.

Southern Leopard Frog Mission
Click here to get started!Like frogs, we grow and change throughout our lives, often through challenges we face. If we focus on perfection, it can feel impossible to achieve, and nothing we accomplish ever feels good enough. This mission invites you to focus on progress and growth instead of perfection. Learn from challenges, keep moving forward, and become a better version of yourself as you work to make the world a better place, one small leap at a time.

Brown Pelican Mission Coming Soon!
Pelicans primarily eat fish, which live underwater. Though pelicans can swim, they don't live underwater like their prey does. They dive in to find their food, then return to the surface and eventually take to the sky. Because they have to venture into a different environment to find their food, they sometimes have to get creative and use the tools at hand, erโwing! This mission invites you to show how valuable it is to be resourceful.
